NATURE AND USE Specific product with high Thinning function purposely designed for Primers, intermediates, finishing coats and specialties based on two component epoxy resins.

A small percentage of the product Epothinner is sufficient to reduce in a considerable value the viscosity of the coating mix. Suitable also for tools cleaning.

NATURE AND USE Two component epoxy undercoat of excellent quality to get adhesion on all “difficult substrates.

Optimum for new anticorrosion systems, it is also indicated as surface‐tolerant coating in the industrial maintenance systems. Applied at low thickness , Epoxy primer 938/E has exceptional performances of adhesion on light alloys, stainless steel, aluminium, hot galvanized sheet iron, etc..

The product can easily be over‐coated with subsequent coats of suitable and compatible coatings. The pigments consist of particular

Zinc salts to perform an effective antioxidant protection. The product is fast drying.

Easy to perform recoat applications or maintenance painting application during at least 18 months without need of mechanical

Preparation of the substrate to be coated. Do not apply in critical humidity and temperature conditions.

The Product complies with ENEL Dco (P17) Specifications.

NATURE AND USE ‐  Steelstop Epoxy Airless S.F. 1100 is a two component solvent free epoxy coating studied to give steel substrates a protection (barrier action) from corrosion. Its solvent free formulation, allows safety in application in closed areas or where flammable vapours have to be avoided. Particularly suggested for the maintenance or for the coating of new off‐shore structures. The product can be externally applied at a dry film thickness of 1500 ‐ 2000 µm on pipes, elbows, valves, special pieces, tanks

to be laid underground, into sea water or for splash‐zone exercise, etc.Its particular consistency allows its application at lower pressure than normally used for this type of products, reducing air entrapment inside the film.

Its permeability to water is very low and the resistance to cathodic disbonding is good, for these reasons the product is specially used

for application in submarine environment (sea‐lines, etc …). The coating guarantees a good mechanical resistance to abrasion, to impact and good chemical resistance even in industrial aggressive environments.

Like all epoxy products, this coating tends to chalking and whitening as time goes by.

NATURE AND USE  STOPCOAT 71 is a galvanizing, epoxy polyamide product, zinc powder rich – Organic Type - in the dry film. Studied to function as primer for several anticorrosion coating systems operating in severe environmental conditions, this product is recommended when the service temperature resistance is required. Suitable to coat steel substrates, sandblasted at the degree SA 2.5 -SA 3 according to

ISO 8501/1,(Refer to roughness profile indicated in the paragraph “Substrate preparation”) or for touch-up  painting  (A< 0,15 m² each.) after sandpapering at the degree St3 – ISO 8501/1 in coating systems to protect structures generally in Atmospheric Service Conditions and also in  Submerged Service Conditions.

Thanks to its rich zinc content (organic type), its corrosion protection function is highly performing on pipelines, wharfs, steel marine structures and all other constructions operating in areas exposed to severe conditions (cathodic protection) Important to avoid the coating application in critical conditions of humidity  and temperature. The Substrate must always be correctly prepared.

NATURE AND USE STOPCOAT 304 is an epoxy modified aluminium mastic, surface tolerant, formulated with polymeric plasticizers, zinc phosphates and iron oxide. Designed as primer / intermediate / semi‐glossy top coat for steel, it is particularly suggested for the maintenance of plants and structures in aggressive environment.

It can be applied up to a dry film thickness of 200 µm per coat. Can be also applied on iron mechanically brushed or abraded when sandblasting is not possible, or on concrete substrate duly prepared.

NATURE AND USE  Epoxy‐polyamide product, which can be recoated within 3 months from its application. Designed as primer with good adhesion on light alloys, galvanized steel and hot galvanized sheet, it is particularly suggested for initial anticorrosion coating systems in aggressive environment. Generally in white colour, Stopcoat 305 can also be employed as intermediate coat or as Tie coat in coating systems.

NATURE AND USE STOPCOAT 308 is an epoxy‐polyamide zinc phosphates and micaceous iron oxide based product,which can be recoated within 3 months from its application.    Designed as primer or intermediate coat, it is particularly suggested for anticorrosion coating systems in aggressive environment. It can be used as tie‐coat on inorganic zinc based and epoxy products.

NATURE AND USE STOPCOAT 411 is a two component epoxy polyamide high build coating modified with vinyl copolymers for a long recoatability.    The product is semi‐glossy and generally supplied in light ivory colour but is available also in sample colours on demand.

It is suitable as intermediate / top coat for anticorrosion and maintenance coating systems exposed to severe environmental conditions, as primer with good adhesion on light alloys, galvanized steel plates and galvanized sheets or as tie‐coat for inorganic zinc based products if applied “wet on wet”.

NATURE AND USE Two component non yellowing polyurethane product, providing excellent elasticity, surface hardness and resistance also in industrial atmospheres particularly aggressive. The product provides an excellent adhesion on several substrates such as iron, aluminium, plastic, Fiberglas, wood, etc .... previously treated with appropriate primers and undercoats.

Stopcoat 620 is recommended also for the coating of industrial equipments , industrial bodies, Fiberglas structures, PVC or ABS parts etc.

NATURE AND USE Two‐component solvent free epoxy coating. It can be applied with good capacity  hot bi‐mixer. The thickness obtainable can reach 800‐1000 microns in a single coat. Stopcoat 1000 was designed to provide internal protection to steel pipes and tanks carrying / storing petrochemicals including jet fuel, kerosene, crude oil mix (included those containing H2S up to a concentration of 700 mg/l) and natural and/or service gases, and natural gases. The product is recommended also for external and internal coating of tanks, pipes and steel or concrete structures (in this latter case, the application of a suitable primer is necessary), containment  walls and floors in discontinuous contact with averagely aggressive chemical agents such as alkalis and weak acids, fuels, industrial waters, sewage waters, sea waters, etc … The product provides excellent resistance to abrasion, to mechanical damage and to external aggression in marine and industrial environments. The use of Stopcoat 1000 as internal coating for pipes reduces pigging and maintenance costs, offering considerable, long term economic

advantages about pumping cost of products inside pipes. In fact, in the case of handling of intermediate petroleum products, the typical evenness of the paint film, minimizes the accumulation of paraffin compounds that could reduce the pipe section. Like all epoxy products externally exposed (light, UV etc) the film of cured product tends to chalking and whitening as time goes by. This coating is tested and certified in accordance with OAO GAZPROM and it is recommended for the internal protection of pipelines for oil products transport, by the Research Institute Vniist Ltd.

NATURE AND USE Two‐ component, solvent free    epoxy‐polyamine fast drying coating to be applied with hot bi‐mixer spray application.(suggested method).Internal High build coating of steel pipes and tanks ,suitable to get in contact with  drinking  water  (according to the Ministry of Health  Circular n. 102 of 02.12.1978 – DM Nr 174 dated 06.04.2004) and siotable also to get in contact with some alimentary substances listed in the enclosure of D.M. dated 21.03.1973 and following updating. Viking can be used as internal protection and also as external high built passive protective barrier (alone or used in a coating system with other types of coatings) on steel items operating in the air or buried, when the requirements impose good chemical and mechanical resistances also in critical exercise conditions. The coating forms a hard, compact,   non‐toxic and long lasting film, resistant to the aggression of different chemical agents such as Sulphuric Acid solutions ( 1% H2SO4 in water), caustic soda (1% NaOH in water), brackish water (tested with a content of 35% NaCl in water) and sea water, lubricating oil, Diesel oil, fuel, natural gas, sewage water .
